Technology and science... the lodestones for the future. There are many issues that affect how we interact with our surroundings, especially through the technologies that have been developed to make our lives easier, or may still be on the drawing board but will soon be in use. Global warming: is it a real issue that will destroy our planet, or just part of a long-term natural cycle that affects the environment? Is thermal dumping the issue, i.e., inefficient use of the energy we have, or is the culprit the increase in so-called "greenhouse gases"? What primary sources of fuel are on the horizon, or will Big Oil always be there to fuel our society? Will Congress write tax laws that help improve technology, or will it stifle innovation? These issues will be addressed by someone in the technology area to help laymen understand the technical and scientific world we live in. We'll bring these issues to you in shirt-sleeve English so that all may understand.

Science Does Support Creationism, from "OTHER OPINION", in the Hartford Courant, Jan. 2, 2001. Creationism versus evolution is always a terrific way to start off any conversation! The new term is "intelligent design" of the universe... at least for our existence on earth. That makes more sense when one considers the laws of physics as we understand them today. Please Note: In the scanned article, the words "shock from" are missing at the bottom of the second column. Sorry for the inconvienence.

A different view of global warming, from "FORUM", in the CONNECTICUT POST, Dec. 1, 2002. Global warming is an issue that creates two sides very quickly when the subject is broached: those who are convinced it's happening versus those who feel humans are arrogant to think we can have an effect on the very large ecosystem that exists on this planet...Oh, there will be a few who just stand on the sidelines and will not know which way to go. This blog adds another dimension to the discourse. Perhaps global warming is happening, but we are looking at all the wrong reasons for the effect. Somehow that seems to make the most sense!
